GUNTER

James Gunter has enjoyed drawing since he was a child in Virginia. He began displaying his drawings and paintings at art shows when he lived in Pennsylvania, and now lives in Utah.

James has won several awards for his paintings and drawings at art shows in cities along the Wasatch Front in Utah.

His main interest has been in painting portraits and figures in pastel, but he is now beginning to split his time between that and plein air landscapes painted in oil. It is the aim of James' art to express and explore the peace and grace that can be found in both people and the landscape.
